Suzuki Grand Vitara 3-door
Suzuki launched its first Vitara 20 years ago creating the world's first compact SUV and tapping into a new market for vehicles that deliver true off-road performance with responsive fun to drive on road performance Since then the stylish and versatile SUV has steadily evolved and kept pace with growing demand for good looking versatile 4x4s that are as rewarding on the open road as they are motoring off the beaten track

In developing the new flagship 2.4-litre Grand Vitara Suzuki has consolidated the design and engineering qualities that have helped the model enjoy such enduring success while introducing an all round upgrade in terms of engine performance equipment specifications  safety styling and all round quality

The result is a compact SUV that offers more than ever before more power more style and more driving pleasure but with no adverse effect on fuel consumption or emissions

The highly specified Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4-litre is available in three and five-door body styles and the arrival of the 2.4 Suzuki Grand Vitara 3-door gives a unique offering in the SUV market  with no other manufacturer currently offering this engine/body style combination

At the heart of the new model is a 122kW/166PS 2.4-litre petrol engine  five-door slightly more powerful at 124kW/169PS The unit makes full use of advanced technical and design features to deliver improved power and torque, with only modest adjustments in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions In fact, with five speed manual transmission tailpipe emissions are unchanged at 208g/km for the five-door model  205g/km for Suzuki Grand Vitara 3-door
The engine is also only marginally larger in size yet it incorporates a series of features seen for the first time on a Suzuki designed powerplant These include a balancer shaft, three-stage variable air intake and a tumble control valve in the intake ports to achieve the best possible fuel air mixture

Recognising the life saving potential of electronic stability systems, Suzuki is equipping the 2.4-litre Suzuki Grand Vitara as standard with ESP®, part of a company policy to introduce the system progressively on all forthcoming new models and model facelifts. ESP® uses selective wheel braking and controls engine output as necessary to stabilise the vehicle if it detects understeer or oversteer situations which could possibly result in total loss of control

Further safety measures have also been upgraded most notably with the introduction of ventilated rear disc brakes and extra shock absorbing elements around the bonnet wings and front bumper to reduce the risk of injury to pedestrians  a quality that had already earned Suzuki Grand Vitara a very respectable three star rating in independent Euro NCAP crash testing

Both the exterior and interior have been given a mild facelift On the outside there is a revised front end treatment and new door mirrors with integrated turn indicators, while inside the cabin chrome and wood effect inlays add extra touches of quality together with improvements to the design and operation of some of the dashboard controls including a new multi information display and revised air conditioning control panel

The 2.4 litre model has a high standard specification including an in-dash 6CD player with MP3 compatibility rear privacy glass and 17 inch wheels Five door models additionally feature leather seats with front seat heating High Intensity Discharge  HID  headlamps cruise control  18 inch wheels and electrically operated glass sun-roof as standard

Suzuki Grand Vitara model year 2009 From the inside
Recognized by AutoPacific as the  ideal compact SUV/off-road vehicle Suzuki Grand Vitara surpasses other SUVs in its size and price category in balancing off-road capability with the very real needs of a daily commute. The vehicle's surprising off-road performance is matched by an equally impressive interior making the Grand Vitara the perfect choice for adventure-minded drivers seeking to confidently explore the outside world in comfort and style. The ultimate discovery vehicle, the Suzuki Grand Vitara helps customers engage directly with their environment and their experiences.

For 2009, the rugged and award-winning Suzuki Grand Vitara, a true SUV in a segment of  soft-roaders offers  brute-ute owners the opportunity to resize for better fuel economy without settling for a  cute-ute lacking full SUV capability. A standard, all-new four-cylinder engine provides drivers with better mileage, and a new, more powerful V6 delivers fuel economy better than the V6 it replaces.

A new grille and front bumper design accent the Suzuki Grand Vitara distinctive, chiseled yet elegant lines with additional interior enhancements, including illuminated steering wheel controls a sliding front center armrest visor extenders HVAC controls upgraded audio system and updated cloth upholstery As with all retail 2009 Suzuki automobiles and light trucks the Grand Vitara is backed by America's #1 Warranty a 100,000-mile/seven-year, fully transferable zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty.

Performance and Functionality
The new Suzuki-developed 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine produces 166 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of peak torque, delivering EPA fuel economy estimates of up to 19 mpg/city and 26 mpg/highway. Available for Suzuki Grand Vitara XSport and Luxury models is a new 3.2-liter V6 engine with 230 horsepower and 213 lb.-ft. of torque, replacing the 2.7-liter V6 engine in 2008 Grand Vitara that produced 185 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Despite an increase of 45 horsepower, the new V6 betters the old motor in fuel economy ratings. The new engine is also 20 percent cleaner than the 2008 model as measured by the State of California's smog index rating. The new V6 also features variable valve timing for both the intake and exhaust camshafts, and both Suzuki Grand Vitara engines use a zero-maintenance timing chain in place of a belt.

The Grand Vitara's new four-cylinder engine can be teamed to a standard five-speed manual transmission or a new four-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 is matched to a standard five-speed automatic transmission. To help fulfill their sense of adventure, customers can choose among RWD models, Single-Mode four-wheel drive or Four-Mode full-time four-wheel drive, a traction system unlike anything else offered in the segment. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) is standard for all Suzuki Grand Vitara models, along with a new rollover sensor for the standard side curtain airbags. Enhancing performance on any road is a strengthened structure for 2009, plus rear disc brakes that replace the previous drums.

Suzuki Four-Mode four-wheel drive offers the best of both worlds: further aided by a completely retuned suspension, it is exceptionally capable off-road but is civilized on the asphalt. On pavement, drivers can leave the dash-mounted transfer case switch in 4H and the electronically controlled on-demand four-wheel-drive system will apply traction to the front wheels only as needed, optimizing economy. When traveling off-road, or for low-speed power and traction, drivers can turn the switch to high-range 4H Lock or low-range 4L Lock to engage the center differential lock. The V6 models with Four-Mode full-time four-wheel drive also feature Hill Descent Control and Hill Hold Control, which can enhance driving safety on steep slopes.

For RV owners a Suzuki Grand Vitara equipped with an automatic transmission or with the Four-Mode full time four wheel drive system can also be flat-towed Switching the transfer case control into the neutral position helps minimize driveline wear and prevent non-driving miles from accumulating on the odometer

Suzuki Alto model year 2009

From the inside Suzuki Alto model year 2009

Suzuki Alto model year 2009 At the 2008 Paris Motor Show  Suzuki has unveiled the all new Suzuki Alto   the fifth and smallest member of its acclaimed lineup of world strategic models The new Suzuki Alto combines eye catching style and easy urban mobility with great performance in terms of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions  thereby meeting the lifestyle needs of today's motorists and the pressing global need for environmental compatibility Plus it is one of the most fun to drive city cars available a great new example of Suzuki's  Way of Life  philosophy
As the second model in the second phase of Suzuki's world strategy (a phase that's focused on user-friendliness and delivering expanded possibilities for family members), the new Suzuki Alto offers good levels of comfort and convenience within a modest overall length.

Plus, a design that combines sporty, European-inspired looks with great aerodynamics means the new Suzuki Alto is the most stylish car of its size.

The new Suzuki Alto reflects the unparalleled knowledge of small-cars that has made Suzuki so successful with minivehicles in Japan and compact cars like the Swift all over the world. Suzuki Alto is a definitive response to the need for enjoyable, eco-friendly motoring. Suzuki aims to achieve annual sales of 60,000 units in Europe following a sales launch in spring 2009.

The new Alto is aimed mainly at urban people who want a small car that offers style and enjoyment together with great environmental credentials, and it reflects the ideals of the second phase of Suzuki's world strategy. At the heart of the concept for the new Suzuki Alto is Suzuki's belief that people should be able to enjoy economical, eco-friendly motoring without sacrificing style, comfort, practicality, or performance. Compact dimensions (the new Suzuki Alto is the smallest of Suzuki's world strategic models) play a large part in realising outstanding environmental credentials by keeping weight to a minimum, but without detracting from user-friendliness.

Design, Comfort and Practicality

The new Suzuki Alto has a sporty, solid look that exudes urban energy despite the body's compact dimensions. The design is elegant and beautiful thanks to aerodynamically efficient contours that combine tautness with evocative curviness. It is ideally matched to European tastes and with a drag coefficient of just 0.30 promotes fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions.

The cabin layout apportions most of the space to the front seats but still provides ample space for four adults. Handy storage spaces for small items are located all around the cabin. Notwithstanding the new Alto's compact exterior dimensions, there's a usable amount of luggage space behind the rear seats, and folding down the rear seatback expands the space into a roomy luggage area suited to daily use.

Performance and Environmental Compatibility

The new Suzuki Alto is powered by a three cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine successfully launched as an engine of the Suzuki Splash. This unit is light and compact with low friction characteristics. Maximum power output is 68PS (50kW) with maximum torque of 90Nm. Fuel consumption is low at 62.7 mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions are just 103g/km. Standard transmission is a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission (uncommon among one-litre cars) with gate-type shifter is available as an option.

Suspension

The front suspension is of MacPherson strut type and the large, high-rigidity suspension frame is complemented by further strengthening in the strut mounting areas for superior handling. The rear suspension has Suzuki's proprietary 3-link rigid axle design, and incorporates numerous refinements for the new car. The coil springs and dampers were tuned for optimum handling stability through extensive testing on roads in Europe.

Suzuki targeted handling that makes driving enjoyable on urban roads, so drivers enjoy linear response, gentle roll movements, light steering feel, and good absorption of shock and vibration. These benefits reflect the experience Suzuki has gained in motorsport around the world.

The new Suzuki Alto has a minimum turning radius of just 4.5m making it easy to manoeuvre and park in tight spaces.

Safety

To help the driver avoid hazards on the road, the new Suzuki Alto is available with Electronic Stability Program  ESP which modulates the engine performance and applies the brakes during cornering and under aceleration.

In the unfortunate event of an accident, the new Suzuki Alto's body reflects Suzuki's Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) concept in the form of crushable structures that absorb impact energy, frame members that disperse impact energy away from occupants and a strong cabin structure. Use of high-tensile steel for major body parts means the resulting high level of occupant safety does not add excessive weight to the body.

SRS front, side, and curtain airbags are available to reduce the severity of impacts suffered by occupants in the event of a collision. Energy-absorbing trim materials provide further head protection.

Suzuki SX4 model year 2010

Suzuki SX4 model year 2010 From the inside
Suzuki SX4 model year 2010 Suzuki SX4 is a distinctive five-door hatchback that blends the characteristics of sporty compacts exemplified by the Swift with those of lightweight SUVs such as the Grand Vitara to create an exciting small car alternative

The resulting  sport X-over combines responsive driving dynamics, 4x4 capability, high levels of practicality and styling that suggests a freestyle approach to life

The UK line-up offers two engine options - one diesel and one petrol. The revised 120PS 1.6 litre VVT petrol engine is available in either SZ3 or SZ4 2WD  front-wheel drive  format or as a 4x4 SZ5 model with selectable/automatic four-wheel drive. The 1.6-litre DDiS will be available in SZ4 trim from April 2010, together with the SZ5 4X4 petrol

Following Swift and Grand Vitara, SX4 was Suzuki's third global strategic model It also formed the basis for its World Rally Championship challenger during 2007/8

Suzuki SX4 is the result of a joint development agreement between Suzuki and Fiat Auto, in which Suzuki was responsible for project management from concept to mass production  Suzuki SX4 models sold in Europe are built at Magyar Suzuki Corporation in Hungary.

Expressive confident exterior

The Suzuki SX4 is styled to look good in any setting. Fusing the dynamism of SUVs with the elegance of passenger cars gives poise and presence beyond the model's compact size The 2010 model features a redesigned front bumper and grill together with new design 16 inch alloy wheels for SZ4 and SZ5 models. A low rising waistline and large, triangular glazing forward of the front doors give the vehicle a strong sporty wedge shape expressing dynamic performance while the pronounced wheelarches and wide front and rear track broadcast stability and good traction. The design suggests a potential that is not found in conventional hatchbacks and that is pure Suzuki in nature: exciting multi dimensional and visually appealing

Three model grades are available: SZ3; SZ4 and SZ5 which is available for the 4x4 petrol model. All models have a bold SUV appearance with wheel arch extensions side protection mouldings  not SZ3 model side under protection mouldings and front and rear skid plates.

Bold and refined interior

The  X-over design continues inside the vehicle, with curving wraparound forms and trim materials and fabrics that have high visual and tactile quality Circular motifs and a flowing centre panel  also used to critical acclaim in other Suzuki models  express the car's dynamic performance and add to its active lifestyle appeal

The two-tone interior is predominantly black highlighted with metallic coloured accents and wedge-shaped motifs, for a look that is both bold and refined The instrument panel's ergonomic design ensures the key meters and controls are intuitive and simple to use A new style, LED back lit three-dial cluster provides important information at a glance and neatly echoes the metallic circular motifs of the side air outlets and other controls Important driver information on average and instantaneous fuel consumption as well as driving fuel range and outside temperature have now been relocated from the top centre of the dashboard to directly ahead of the driver in the instrument cluster

The lower centre dashboard panel has also been revised for the 2010 model and incorporates a new display; housing the audio, air conditioning and other controls. On SZ4 and SZ5 models the large dials of the fully automatic air conditioning have ring lights, which make them easier to see and use, while adding to the overall refined quality. Steering wheel audio controls are now illuminated for added convenience

Balance of form and function

The Suzuki SX4 comfortably accommodates up to five people and their luggage needs while retaining a sleek and stylish look. The 4WD models have exterior length-width-height dimensions of 4,150mm x 1,755mm x 1,620mm  2WD models:1,605mm These efficient proportions and a minimum turning circle of 10.6 metres make Suzuki SX4 easy to navigate around narrow urban streets and easier to park in spaces that would be out-of-bounds to large SUVs

The spacious interior offers plenty of leg and shoulder room, even for rear seat passengers  Space is not the only factor in ensuring plenty of on-board comfort: the shape and position of the seats are designed to support a natural posture, a key factor in comfortable long-distance travel. Additionally, ideal seat heights, large door openings, and high ground clearance make access easy for all on board The rear seats are set slightly higher which means even those in the back get a good all-round view.

The rear seats divide 60:40 which means long items can be carried while still seating one or two rear passengers They can also be tumbled forward to create an almost fully flat load floor  increasing boot capacity from 270 to 625 litres  VDA measurement).

A number of handy storage compartments are provided throughout the cabin including large pockets on all doors with bottle holders

On board refinement and comfort is enhanced in the latest model with the fitment of cushioned armrests in the doors additional sound insulation throughout the cabin together with new design carpets; all helping lower NVH levels.

On the outside a larger engine under shield cover together with improved transmission damping and increased rigidity of body parts have also been incorporated.

Specification

Suzuki SX4 is well equipped as standard with the SZ3 model offering six airbags remote central locking with deadlocks air conditioning, MP3 / WMA compatible CD tuner with eight speakers four electric windows driver information display and illuminated steering wheel mounted audio controls

The SZ4 model adds fog lamps; 16-inch alloy wheels, side body protection and heated door mirrors. Petrol engine SZ4 models have an even higher specification with keyless entry and start dashboard centre speaker and automatic air conditioning

On sale in April the top of the range SZ5 model adds i-AWD  intelligent All Wheel Drive MP3 / WMA compatible six CD changer and rear privacy glass.

Pure driving exhilaration

The Suzuki SX4 was engineered from the outset to offer all-wheel drive capability yet still deliver sharp dynamic performance The inherent qualities of sporty hatchbacks are evident in the car's responsiveness and comfortable long-distance travel, while Suzuki's extensive experience in 4WD technology delivers all-wheel traction that is more than adequate for everyday situations

The revised 1.6 litre petrol engine features drive by wire throttle control, a new variable valve timing and variable intake system for enhanced driveability and response. It powers the 2WD models with manual transmission from nought to 62 mph in 10.7 seconds  11.5 seconds for the 4x4 model. In combined cycle driving, the 2WD manual models return 45.6mpg, a 10 per cent improvement over the previous engine while the 4x4 is only slightly behind returning 43.5mpg  a very respectable figure for a petrol-powered 4x4

Power and torque

The 1.6-litre petrol engine has been improved to comply with Euro 5 emissions with a new cylinder head and block which offer improved cooling performance and improved  knock or detonation control limits; the higher power output  120PS vs 107PS over the previous engine has been achieved by extending the intake and exhaust valve lift with variable valve timing and utilising a variable inlet manifold

The variable intake system is similar to that used in the Grand Vitara 2.4-litre engine in which rotary valves in the intake manifold change the length of the intake ports according to engine

The variable intake system adjusts intake port length in three stages Low Mid and High engine speeds thus gaining the maximum potential from the intake manifold Optimising intake efficiency in this way means the engine delivers higher torque at the right time and subsequently delivers lower emissions across the engine speed range

The engine also utilises a thin walled exhaust catalyst to also help achieve higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions; this is particularly relevant after start up from cold as the exhaust catalyst is able to reach it's correct operating temperature in less time

The 1.6-litre DDiS engine sourced from Peugeot delivers 90PS and 215Nm of torque at just 1,750rpm to ensure lively, flexible performance and strong fuel economy Mated to a five speed manual gearbox and driving through the front wheels, it achieves an impressive 57.6 mpg  combined cycle and CO2 emissions of just 129 g/km Nought to 62 mph acceleration is achieved in 12.2 seconds, with a top speed  where permitted of 109mph.

i-AWD  intelligent All Wheel Drive

The signature feature of the Suzuki SX4 4x4 is it's i-AWD switchable three-mode all-wheel drive system An Electric Control Coupling Device allows the driver to select 4WD-Auto  4WD-Lock and 2WD modes to suit driving conditions giving excellent traction on low grip surfaces

In 4WD-Auto mode in normal driving conditions there is no torque transfer to the rear wheels  so the Suzuki SX4 effectively operates as a front wheel drive vehicle. As soon as any pronounced front wheel slip is detected, torque is automatically apportioned to the rear wheels to give all-wheel traction and improve vehicle stability

4WD-Lock mode maintains full traction up to around 40mph before automatically switching to 4WD-Auto mode for smooth cruising. Selecting 2WD  drive through the front wheels optimises fuel economy.

Chassis

The Suzuki SX4 provides crisp, predictable handling designed to satisfy European driving tastes. This has been achieved by carefully matching the suspension characteristics to the highly rigid platform Extensive fine-tuning of the chassis was conducted in Europe to ensure ride and handling performance meet European market preferences

The body is an evolution fundamental design that helped carry the Suzuki SX4 to numerous awards throughout the world, including Car magazine's Car of the Year in 2006 when the model was first launched. Its high levels of bending and torsional rigidity and reinforced suspension mounts allow the front MacPherson struts and rear torsion beam suspension to perform to their full potential Wide 1,500/1,495 mm front and rear tracks  1,495/1,495 mm for 4x4 models and 205/60R16 tyres further contribute to the stable ride quality

Reassuring safety

The Suzuki SX4 inspires confidence with its extensive array of safety features Active safety elements include ABS with electronic brake-force distribution  EBD standard on all models together with rear disc brakes for enhanced braking performance

Overall Suzuki SX4 has an outstandingly crashworthy structure which helped it gain four Stars for adult occupant in Euro NCAP testing. Extensive use is made of high tensile steel and tailored blanks in the car's construction to achieve strength without the penalty of added weight. Front and rear crush zones absorb impact energy while the frame design directs much of the impact energy away from the highly reinforced cabin

In the cabin the driver enjoys a commanding position at the wheel with a wide field of vision. Front, side and curtain airbags are provided on all models together with front pre tensioners and force limiters for front seatbelts three-point belts with emergency locking retractors are provided on all rear seats and ISOFIX child seat anchor points with top tether mountings

Suzuki SX4 also offers high levels of specific protection for pedestrians and child passengers  measures which at launch secured the model three star Euro NCAP ratings in both categories a particularly impressive result for a compact car

Service intervals are every 9,000 miles and all Suzuki SX4's have a three year 60,000 miles warranty in line with other Suzuki models

Suzuki Kizashi model year 2010

From the inside Suzuki Kizashi model year 2010
Suzuki Kizashi model year 2010 Suzuki known primarily as a maker of small vehicles and high-performance motorcycles marks the global debut of the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi  pronounced  Kee-Zah-Shee the company's first entry into the all-wheel-drive sport sedan segment. Benchmarked against some of the leading cars in the world, the all-new 2010 Suzuki Kizashi becomes an instant car-of-the-year contender in its own right. With the launch of the Suzuki Kizashi, Suzuki delivers a unique blend of dynamic performance attributes with premium design aesthetics and craftsmanship yet to be experienced in this category. Scheduled to arrive in North American showrooms this winter, the Suzuki Kizashi will serve as the company's flagship vehicle, further expanding and strengthening its current product line of high-quality small cars, trucks and SUVs.

In developing and naming our newest automotive introduction, the Japanese word  Kizashi which tells that something great is coming, seemed appropriate for the vehicle said Kevin Saito, president, American Suzuki Now that the production model Suzuki Kizashi has arrived, we expect the name and the product itself to clearly demonstrate the bold statement this company knew it would be making with the debut of this vehicle  while also simultaneously suggesting what will emerge in the Suzuki lineup as we look ahead to the future

The Suzuki Kizashi sport sedan, which originates from the Suzuki Kizashi Concept series introduced over the last two years, follows a similar design theme and appreciation for performance previously illustrated by the three eye-catching and immaculately designed concept vehicles. The production Kizashi redefines the traditional performance sedan and moves the Suzuki brand upscale. Furthermore, its active and energetic identity, a core component of the Suzuki brand DNA, is tempered by the vehicle's overall mission to provide a strong, refined urban performance.

Powertrain

Built at Suzuki's brand-new manufacturing facility in Sagara Japan, the 2010 Kizashi is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine offering a more potent standard engine than many competitive best-sellers. The engine employs both an aluminum block and cylinder heads, providing a lightweight installation; aluminum pistons with low tensile force rings deliver improved power and efficiency. Dropped-forged connecting rods, rotating on a forged steel crankshaft, contribute to the inline four's durability, and a balancer shaft delivers improved engine balance and reduced noise, vibration and harshness  NVH

The responsive inline four is connected to a six-speed manual transmission, for heightened performance in the low gears, along with relaxed  and economical   cruising capability in the higher gears. Customers may opt for an available Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that delivers both the driving experience and fuel efficiency today's consumers demand, while not compromising the character preferred by driving enthusiasts. That character is enhanced with paddle shifters, optimizing driver control regardless of speed or driving environment. With either transmission choice, the Suzuki Kizashi is engineered to return competitive fuel economy numbers for fuel-conscious consumers.

In addition to this excellent new powertrain, and to even further enhance the Suzuki Kizashi's strong efficiency story, Suzuki is developing an even more fuel efficient hybrid version that will be added to the lineup in the future

Braking and Handling

In order to successfully enter a field already saturated with countless nondescript transportation appliances, Suzuki breaks away from traditional values normally associated with the mainstream, standing firm on Suzuki's belief in delivering a dynamic and exhilarating driving experience That driving experience was validated on Germany's Autobahn, Switzerland's Alpine twisties, cobblestone roads of rural England and the legendary Nürburgring.

An exceptionally rigid steel unibody  with reinforced front suspension and multi-link rear suspension constructed with embedded aluminum  allows for crisp, nimble handling with excellent stability, sophisticated ride and reduced chassis vibration. Engineered from conception to be all-wheel-drive capable, the Suzuki Kizashi offers a newly developed advanced all-wheel-drive system with highly advanced controls that evokes and promotes a natural sense of heartfelt driving enthusiasm and safety. Suzuki Kizashi's sophisticated braking system offers standard four-wheel disc brakes and includes suppliers such as Akebono, a world-leader in NVH control and analysis and a leading brake supplier for automotive and high-speed rail applications.

Design

Suzuki Kizashi's thoughtfully crafted exterior design is best described as the seamless melding of European style and Japanese craftsmanship. Tailored for the driving enthusiast, Suzuki Kizashi's bold and aggressive stance is complemented by available 18-inch alloy wheels; contemporary styling  with its lean proportion and minimal front overhang  injects the sophistication appropriate to a performance-oriented sport sedan. As with the Suzuki Kizashi Concept series, the front end of the production Suzuki Kizashi expresses both strength and style, while the vehicle's impeccably engineered body reflects Suzuki Kizashi's underlying strength and distinctive combination of capability and refinement.

At Suzuki Kizashi's rear, the architecture accentuates the 'sport' aspect of Suzuki's sport sedan. The visual dynamic is enhanced with the addition of an integrated dual sport exhaust, communicating  both visually and aurally  the Suzuki Kizashi's performance-imbued spirit.

Interior

Suzuki has taken advantage of its expertise in the compact car segment to efficiently execute larger  yet still tidy  proportions that afford comfort and practicality without the wasted space. Along with cabin proportions that reward Suzuki Kizashi drivers and passengers with comfort and roominess, Suzuki pursues a contemporary, upscale interior feel — such as standard sport seats  in line with the vehicle's on-road performance characteristics. Driving enthusiasts will appreciate Suzuki Kizashi's sporty and elegant instrument panel, while consumers seeking a luxury sedan will be pleased with the vehicle's available leather seating, featuring high-density foam and premium quality materials rivaling upscale competitors.

The available premium leather is supplemented by three-stage heated seats and a three-position memory program. In addition, both cloth and leather seats benefit from Suzuki's attention to detail  French seams, hard cover rears and low fatigue foam

For those wanting high-tech beyond the engine compartment, the Suzuki Kizashi's interior delivers by the megabyte. Beginning with standard keyless push start system, Kizashi also offers iPod® connectivity and optional streaming audio via Bluetooth®. For your advanced listening pleasure Rockford Fosgate® provides an optional listening experience boosted by 425 watts of power

Traction and Safety

The all-new Suzuki Kizashi includes a class-leading list of standard safety equipment, including class-exclusive standard eight airbags Electronic Stability Program  ESP®  an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution projector beam headlamps and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Also included as equipment on the Kizashi is Suzuki's developed synergetic vehicle dynamic control This system assists drivers control and a fun-to-drive experience with minimal intrusiveness

Suzuki Kizashi is offered with Suzuki's next generation i-AWD system, a rare option in its class, as this safety and performance enhancing feature is more typically found among luxury sport sedan offerings. Engineered to provide outstanding traction in inclement weather, the sophisticated all-wheel-drive system also delivers enhanced cornering capabilities Activated when the driver selects the  AWD switch on the instrument panel power to the rear wheels starts immediately upon acceleration  Torque split remains dependent on several factors, including wheel slippage and throttle input

Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept model year 2011 From the inside
American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) unveiled a gas-electric concept variant of its Kizashi sedan at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). With the moniker Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept, this innovative and eye-catching four-door further illustrates Suzuki's global eco-mobility story, and accentuates the company's effort in socially-conscious motoring.

"We are continuing to study the virtues of the gas-electric technology found in the Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept," said Steve Younan, director of automotive marketing and product planning for American Suzuki Motor Corporation. "Our basic concept was to attain substantial gains in fuel economy without the traditional sacrifices in drivability required with today's mid-size hybrid sedans. The proof of our concept is that the Kizashi EcoCharge has the capability to deliver a 25 percent fuel economy gain in real-world driving through an electric charge to the powertrain system while still retaining the production Kizashi's dynamic handling and braking advantages that make it a standout category performer."

Kizashi Powertrain Electrification

The Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept derives power from a 2.0-liter inline-four gasoline engine, working in tandem with an advanced electric propulsion system, which consists of a liquid-cooled 15-kW motor/generator unit tied to a 115-volt air-cooled lithium-ion battery. The combination optimizes fuel economy and delivers an electric power boost during acceleration for a more spirited driving experience. The Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept delivers a 25 percent lift to highway fuel economy over today's Kizashi

To help maximize efficiency, the Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept also utilizes numerous fuel-conserving technologies, including regenerative braking, automatic engine shut-off when the car comes to a stop, fuel cut-off during deceleration events and low-rolling resistance tires.

Power management is provided via an advanced six-speed automatic transmission designed for smooth operation and a seamless flow of power when called upon by the driver.

Simple, But Striking Exterior Styling

The exterior of the Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept is highlighted by a unique luminescent white satin paint design with a subtle blue undercoat. To further set the concept apart from its production Kizashi sibling, it has been given a specialized headlight treatment, as well as LED foglight illumination integrated into the front fascia. The lightweight aluminum wheels communicate a futuristic feel, and are wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires."

Eco-friendly Interior

Within, the Suzuki Kizashi EcoCharge Concept utilizes advanced seat materials. These materials require 84 percent less energy to produce, and create 80 percent fewer emissions than virgin material production.

Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept model year 2011

Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept 2011 From the inside
Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) unveiled a turbo concept version of its Kizashi sport sedan at the 2011 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The turbocharged Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept showcases the link between Suzuki's automotive division and its championship-winning motorcycles.

"Our turbo-equipped concept leverages the already-exceptional Suzuki Kizashi platform and infuses it with a substantial boost," said Steve Younan, director of automotive marketing and product planning, American Suzuki Motor Corporation. "The Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept will further elevate our flagship sedan in the U.S. among enthusiasts who crave added power and performance."

(More Power Under the Hood)

The Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept features a Garrett turbocharger, an air-to-liquid intercooler, electronic boost control, and a specific engine control unit calibration to provide outstanding drivability. The system takes the Kizashi's peak output into the 275-300 horsepower range, with a maximum boost of 8.5 psi. This powertrain is matched exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. Specific system components are as follows:

    Garrett/Honeywell 2871 R ball bearing turbocharger
Internally wastegated 0.86 A/R turbine housing
Oil and water cooled bearing system
Turbine housing cast from high-nickel "Ni-Resist" material for extreme applications
Turbine wheel cast from lightweight iconel materials for extreme applications

Key to the Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept's performance is its air-to-liquid intercooler, purposed for more effective charge air cooling in a smaller package. The unit's relatively small heat exchanger and circulation pump are designed to be minimally intrusive to vehicle cooling. The intercooler's primary advantage comes from the reduction in the overall length of ducting, which results in faster throttle response and a lower turbo lag, giving peak boost faster than most air-to-air intercooler systems. For impressive engine breathing, the Apex Concept utilizes a free flowing true dual exhaust system.

(Race Bike Grapics)

The livery on the Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept is based on the actual Suzuki superbike race design theme and highlights the vehicle's bloodline connection to the Suzuki GSX-R Superbike. For a more expressive front-end, the lower fascia wears customized LED-based foglights. The Apex Concept is shod with Yokohama S.Drive 245/35-R19 tires, featuring advanced nanotechnology micro-fiber compound to maximize traction in both wet and dry conditions. The wheels are lightweight performance alloys with a "burnt asphalt" finish to communicate this Kizashi turbo's high level of performance. To make sure all this power is put to use in the right place, the Suzuki Kizashi Apex Concept uses Suzuki's Euro-spec high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps.

Suzuki G70 Concept model year 2012

From the inside Suzuki G70 Concept 2012
Suzuki G70 Concept model year 2012 Suzuki is showcasing the G70 at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. This model made its debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show as the REGINA, and it now wears a G70 badge which originates from a nickname adopted during the development process. While the goal of reducing CO2 emissions is an absolute must throughout automotive development, Suzuki also believes that A-segment models should always be customer-responsive. With this in mind, Suzuki has focused on developing an A-segment car with CO2 emissions no higher than 70g/km for market launch in the near future, featuring - as the name suggests - the G70's environmental technologies.

Although the Suzuki G70 is a petrol model, its fuel economy and emissions are on a par with those of a hybrid, thanks to its weight of just 730kg and a drag coefficient more than 10% lower than that of a Suzuki A-segment production model. It also features a direct-injection turbo petrol engine and an Engine Auto Stop Start system with regenerative braking. All in all, the G70's CO2 emissions do not exceed 70g/km.

Platform

The Suzuki G70's platform is light but rigid, since it has more curves than a conventional platform. The components and materials used in the G70 also reflect an uncompromising focus on lightness. As a result, the G70 weighs a mere 730kg (more than 100kg less than the Suzuki Alto).

Advanced aerodynamics

The shape of the G70 means excellent aerodynamics and greater interior comfort. A relatively upright windscreen ensures good forward visibility while directing air smoothly over the top and sides of the body. Other drag-reducing details include rear combination lamps which ensure a smooth airflow toward the rear and C-pillar garnishes which steer and adjust the airflow. The G70's drag coefficient is more than 10% lower than that of a Suzuki A-segment production model

From the inside Suzuki Grand Vitara model year 2013
Suzuki announced the fresh faced Grand Vitara range, due to start arriving in the UK from December 2012. Changes cover the vehicle design throughout, equipment and aim to reinvigorate the Suzuki Grand Vitara's appeal in the competitive mid-sized SUV sector.

At the front of the car the bumper and grille have been re-styled with a more angular design and the foglamp styling has been revised. Additional changes include inner headlight black accents on 5 door SZ5 models, and new design 17" or 18" alloy wheels.

By customer demand, a temporary use 16 inch spare wheel with 225/70 tyre has now been included as standard, eliminating the need for a puncture repair system. As the spare wheel is mounted on the rear door the Suzuki Grand Vitara grows in length by 200mm (five door models) and 170mm (three door models).

Moving inside, SZ3 (3 door) and SZ4 (3 door and 5 door) models are finished with new design seat trims whilst SZ5 5 door models are now equipped with a 6.1 inch touchscreen Colour Navigation System. The navigation system is powered by Garmin and includes comprehensive European mapping with downloadable updates and content.

The navigation system forms part of the infotainment centre - allowing a number of music options; CD, radio, SD card, media player (including iPod® and iPhone®) connected via the USB port, as well as via Bluetooth® music streaming and phone connectivity.

Under the bonnet, 1.9 DDiS models have had the emissions control system revised, resulting in a CO2 decrease from 179 g/km to 174 g/km - which means the VED band for the 1.9 DDiS engine has been reduced by one band to H. An additional benefit of this is an improvement in combined fuel economy to 42.8mpg from 41.5mpg.

Suzuki launched the first Vitara 24 years ago, creating the world's first compact SUV and tapping into a new market for vehicles that combine true off-road capability with responsive, fun-to-drive on-road ability.

The 2013 model is aiming meet the demand for a SUV that is great looking, versatile and is rewarding both on and off-road.

  Suzuki Jimny model year 2013
Suzuki announced some styling refreshments to its highly popular Suzuki Jimny compact 4x4 model in the UK. The 2013 model receives a number of exterior and interior design updates to help modernise appearance whilst maintaining the long established tough and capable reputation Suzuki Jimny has amongst its 20,000 loyal owners in the UK.

Design revisions include a new front bumper and grille design, new design bonnet shape incorporating central air intake as well as repositioning of the front fog lamps. The new front bumper design has resulted in a slight increase in overall length of 30mm to 3,675mm - although Suzuki Jimny easily remains the most compact SUV on sale in the UK.

For the interior, a new seat fabric trim has been adopted for the SZ3; both SZ3 and SZ4 models have new design front and rear headrests as well as ISOFIX child seat mountings fitted as standard to the rear seats.

Breeze Blue has now been added to the optional metallic paint range of four colours available for the higher specification SZ4 model with three metallic and one solid colour available for SZ3. Metallic paint is a £399 option.

Suzuki Jimny has a neat and practical look and since sales began in 1998, it has accumulated a loyal following of repeat customers who enjoy a quirky alternative to a supermini or crossover SUV. The Suzuki Jimny exceeds expectations off road whilst still being more than capable in any urban area, ideal for customers who want the best of both worlds.

The all-alloy 16-valve 1.3-litre engine benefits from variable valve timing, ensuring lively performance, and strong fuel economy. Maximum output is 85PS, with 81lbft of torque delivered at 4,100 rpm; a flat torque curve means near maximum torque is delivered from as low as 2,500 rpm, giving Suzuki Jimny the kind of flexible driving character and pulling power that are integral to a successful SUV.

There are clear benefits in terms of fuel efficiency and exhaust emissions: with the manual transmission model returning an official 39.8mpg in combined cycle driving  38.7mpg for the automatic  respective CO2 outputs are 162 and 167g/km

Suzuki Splash model year 2012

Suzuki announced the 2012 Splash Mini-MPV, incorporating styling refreshments to both exterior and interior that brings Suzuki Splash right up to date for the second half of 2012 and beyond. Most importantly there are no increases in pricing and Suzuki's very popular VAT free offers have now been extended across the Suzuki Splash range with the 1.0-litre SZ2 available from just £7,777.

The list of changes includes new front and rear bumper styling, new bonnet and grille design, new design seat fabric and graphite colour scheme, Piano Black finish to centre console and Black cloth finish to the front door armrests. The changes in bumper designs have resulted in an overall increase in length of 60mm, taking Suzuki Splash to a still very compact 3,775mm.

Sparkling Blue metallic has now also been added to the colour range as an option, adding to Galactic Grey, Silky Silver and Cosmic Black metallic paint finishes as well as Superior White and Bright Red standard solid colours.

Suzuki Splash is compact enough to manoeuvre with ease through narrow streets or to slot into tight parking spots. Yet on the inside its elevated driving position means it can comfortably seat five adults with plenty of legroom and luggage space, at the same time providing a great view of the road. The high seating position makes for easy entry and exit, while folding the one-touch rear seats forward - split 60:40 - creates a virtually flat load floor and opens up 573 litres of luggage space (VDA), including a handy waterproof compartment beneath the boot floor.

Two spirited but highly economical engines are offered: Suzuki's 68 PS VVT 1.0-litre (Variable Valve Timing) three cylinder unit and latest Dual VVT (inlet and exhaust camshaft) 94 PS 1.2-litre petrol engine that was first used in the all-new Swift.

Both engines are tuned and engineered with an emphasis on everyday driveability and cost-effective motoring with combined fuel consumptions of 60.1mpg for the 1.0-litre and 55.4mpg for the 1.2-litre (automatic 49.6mpg). The 1.0-litre emits just 109g/km of CO2 meaning it qualifies for £20 annual road tax, free in the first year. Manual transmission 1.2 litre models with emissions of 118g/km cost just £10 more in annual VED, again free in the first year.

Five models make up the Suzuki Splash range. The 1.0-litre is available in SZ2 and SZ3 trim; the 1.2 model is available in either SZ3 or SZ4 grades, with optional automatic transmission available on the SZ4.

All Suzuki Splash models offer a comprehensive equipment list as standard including four airbags, CD tuner with MP3 player and steering wheel-mounted audio controls; leather-trimmed steering wheel; remote central locking; front electric windows with driver's auto-down; electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors; height-adjustable front seats; tilt adjustable steering wheel and an information display. 1.0-litre SZ3 models upwards add air conditioning as standard.

Step up from SZ3 1.2-litre to SZ4 and the standard specification is even higher with ESP® (Electronic Stability Programme); curtain shield airbags, 15 inch alloys, front foglamps, keyless entry and start and privacy glass for the rear side windows and tailgate
